A 58-year-old woman has died following a single vehicle traffic crash near Mackay overnight.
Preliminary investigations indicate just before midnight a sedan travelling east on the Peak Downs Highway left the road and collided with a tree.
The driver and sole occupant, a 58-year-old Walkerston woman, died at the scene. The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
