Queensland Police have charged a 55-year-old man following the seizure of drugs and firearms during a search warrant at a South Brisbane home this week.
On Tuesday, officers executed a search warrant at a Vulture Street house, where they allegedly located methylamphetamine, heroin, cocaine, ketamine and MDMA with a combined street value of over $900,000.
It will be further alleged that Police located approximately $50,000 in cash, two firearms, a cash counting machine, scales and three mobile phones.
A 55-year-old Yarrabilba man was arrested the following day and charged with one count each of trafficking dangerous drugs and supplying dangerous drugs, six counts of possessing dangerous drug, three counts of possess things used in a crime and two counts of possession of category H firearms (handgun and muzzle loader). He has also been charged with one count each of possess relevant substance (gamma hydroxybutyric acid), possess drug utensil and possession of explosives (ammunition).
He was remanded in custody and will reappear in the Brisbane Magistrates Court on 19 October.
The arrest is one of the latest by Boondall Tactical Crime Squad as part of their ongoing commitment to target drug and firearm offences detected within the Brisbane community.
