Queensland Police have charged a 28-year-old Kirwan woman following a break and enter at a Kirwan property today.
“It will be alleged just before 5am the woman gained entry to a President Street unit and before confronting a 61-year-old male resident and assaulting him,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
The man was taken to Townsville Hospital for treatment.
The 28-year-old Kirwan woman has been charged with one count of each of enter dwelling with intent by break and acts intended to cause grievous bodily harm.
She is scheduled to appear in the Townsville Magistrates Court tomorrow.
