A dispute between two men – aged 59 and 89 – has ended in bloodshed today in Melbourne.
Emergency services were called to a worksite on Rebecca Drive at Ravenhall this morning, where they found a 59-year-old man with a “non-life threatening” gunshot wound to his upper body.
Workers on the construction site reportedly restrained the shooter until Police arrived.
Police say an 89-year-old man is assisting them with their inquiries this afternoon.
A caller to radio 3AW described the scene as a citizen’s arrest.
The woman, named Annette, said her son was working on the site when the incident happened.
“A guy has pulled up in a truck and came out and shot him twice in the arm,” she told listeners.
“It’s a citizen’s arrest. They’ve got him down,” she said.
The injured man has been taken to hospital in a stable condition.
