Man charged over Central Coast stabbing

A man has been charged over the stabbing of a 64-year-old man on the Central Coast yesterday afternoon.

Police say that at around 2pm on Tuesday, emergency services were called to a resort on Boyce Avenue, Wyong, following reports a man had been stabbed several times.

“A 64-year-old man was taken to John Hunter Hospital for treatment to stab wounds to his stomach,” NSW Police said in a statement today.

He is reported to be in a stable condition.

“Officers from Tuggerah Lakes Police District established a crime scene and commenced inquiries.”

“Following inquiries, three men – aged 38, 45 and 56 – were arrested and taken to Wyong Police Station shortly before 6pm yesterday.

“The 38-year-old man was charged with wound person with intent to cause grievous bodily harm and special aggravated enter dwelling with intent to commit grievous bodily harm.”

He was refused bail to appear at Wyong Local Court today. The other two men were released pending further inquiries.
