A search has located a 64-year-old man believed to be have been onboard a vessel that ran aground near Caloundra yesterday afternoon.
“Emergency services were called to the 56ft vessel which had run aground on the northern end of Bribie Island around 4pm,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“An initial search of the vessel failed to locate anyone on board, however a dog was found.
“A multi-agency search located a 64-year-old man at a marine beacon off Bribie Island, safe and well just after 7pm.”
