Victoria Police are appealing for public assistance to help locate missing 65-year-old man, Huu Lai.
Police say Mr Lai was last seen in Sunshine North about 7pm yesterday.
Police and family have concerns for Huu Lai as they say his disappearance is out of character.
He is described as Asian, about 160cm tall with a thin build and black hair. He speaks Vietnamese and limited English. Huu Lai is known to frequent the Sunshine North and Maribyrnong areas.
“It’s believed he may have attended the Maribyrnong River, near the Jack Magazine Reserve, to go fishing,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
Police have released an image of Huu Lai and urge anyone with information on his whereabouts to contact Moonee Ponds Police Station on 9373 5200.
