A 57-year-old man has died following a two vehicle traffic crash in Booyal yesterday afternoon.
Police say their initial enquiries indicate that at around 2.30pm on Sunday, a white 2014 Toyota yarris was travelling south along the Bruce Highway on approach to Christensen Road when a collision occurred with a grey 2022 Toyota Hilux utility driving in the opposite direction.
“The driver and sole occupant of the yarris, a 57-year-old-man Brisbane City man sustained critical injuries and died at the scene,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“The occupants of the utility sustained minor injuries only and were transported to hospital.”
Forensic Crash Unit investigators will prepare a report for the Coroner and are appealing for witnesses, especially those with dashcam vision of the crash, or the moments leading up to it to come forward, Police said.
