Canberra’s veteran community is being invited to put forward their views to the Federal Government’s consultation on the Terms of Reference for the Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide.
Consultation on the Royal Commission Terms of Reference is open until Friday 21 May 2021.
“The establishment of a Royal Commission into Defence and Veteran Suicide is a testament to the long-standing and tireless advocacy of veterans, their families and the organisations who represent them for greater access to community, care and support,” said Assistant Minister for Seniors, Veterans, Families and Communities, Emma Davidson.
“Key to setting up this Royal Commission is to ensure the Terms of Reference capture the issues that are important to the veteran community. Getting this right depends wholly on the voices and views of veterans at this critical point of the process,” she said.
“Canberra is home to a significant defence and veteran population. I strongly encourage the ACT’s veteran community, their families and the organisations who support them to be part of this consultation and provide their feedback on the Terms of Reference.”
