Prince Harry is reportedly self-isolating in the US as he prepares to fly home to be at the bedside of his grandfather, Prince Phillip.
The elderly Prince was hospitalised on Tuesday after several days of illness.
“We haven’t been given an update but I don’t think the palace want to give a running commentary,” a royal commentator told the Today show this morning.
“I think we will be given an update potentially when he is ready to leave.”
He was originally expected to spend “several days” in hospital to rest and recuperate from what the palace has said is a non COVID-19-related illness.
“He walked in to Hospital unaided on Tuesday night. He’s not one to put up a fuss,” the commentator said.
The Prince is set to celebrate his 100th birthday in June.
“He had been ill for several days but had to be persuaded to go to hospital by the royal doctors.”
