Queensland Police (QPS) detectives have charged three boys over a series of alleged burglary offences at Dakabin on Monday morning.
In a statement, QPS said officers attended Raffindale Avenue in Dakabin shortly after 3am on Monday following reports that a group of young people were attempting to gain entry to homes and vehicles along the street.
“The offenders fled upon police arrival, with four teenage boys located by police a short time later,” QPS said.
Three of the boys have since been charged with a total of 32 charges, with Police saying further arrests are likely.
A 15-year-old Bray Park boy and a 15-year-old Kallangur boy have each been charged with three counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break and two counts each of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, attempted enter dwelling with intent at night in company and attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.
The Bray Park boy is due to reappear in Pine Rivers Children’s Court on 17 August. The Kallangur boy is due to reappear in Pine Rivers Children’s Court on 21 September.
A 14-year-old Mango Hill boy has been charged with four counts of enter premises and commit indictable offence by break and two counts each of enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence, attempted enter dwelling with intent at night in company and attempted enter premises with intent to commit indictable offence.
He is due to appear in Pine Rivers Children’s Court on 17 August.
