Queensland Police are investigating following a fatal house fire at Sarina this afternoon, which claimed the life of a 71-year-old woman.
Emergency services were initially called to the Kathleen Street property at around 4:25pm to find the building fully alight, Queensland Police said in a statement.
“The fire has since been contained, and an initial search of the house located a 71-year-old Sarina woman deceased inside,” Police said.
“A crime scene has been declared, and investigations into the cause of the fire are ongoing.”
