A 55-year-old woman is assisting Queensland Police with their investigation following the fatal stabbing of a woman in Hamilton this morning.
Police say that at around 8.45am, officers were called to a Oxford Street, Hamilton address following reports of a disturbance.
A woman aged in her 40s sustained several stab wounds and was transported to Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital, where she later passed away from her injuries, Police said in a statement.
“Police will allege the two women were known to each other but not in a familial setting,” Police said.
Detectives urge anyone who may have information to contact police.
