Police are appealing for public assistance after a newsagency was robbed on the state’s South Coast yesterday.
Police say that just before midday on Thursday, an unknown man armed with a knife and with a stocking covering his face entered a newsagency on Wason Street, Ulladulla, and threatened a 53-year-old female employee.
“Another employee, a 49-year-old man, intervened and handed the man cash before he fled; he was last seen in a carpark behind Wason Street,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“Although shaken, both employees were uninjured.”
As inquiries continue, anyone who may have information is urged to contact Ulladulla Police Station or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
