A 78-year-old motorcyclist has died following a crash near Armidale.
Police say that at about 11.45am yesterday, emergency services were called to Platform Road, Armidale, following reports a motorcyclist left the road while negotiating a sweeping left-hand curve and fallen into a culvert.
Police and paramedics commenced CPR and treated the 78-year-old male motorcyclist at the scene, however he died before he could be airlifted to hospital.
A report will be prepared for the information of the Coroner.
