A man in his 50s has died in a traffic crash at Benaraby overnight.
Preliminary police inquiries indicate that at 11.30pm, a truck was heading south on the Bruce Highway when a SUV, also travelling south, collided with the rear of the truck.
“A passenger of the SUV, a man in his fifties, died at the scene,” Queensland Police said.
“The female driver of the SUV was transported to the Gladstone Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.”
Forensic Crash Unit investigations are continuing.
