A 37-year-old Mackay man is assisting Queensland Police with their enquiries following the death of a woman in Mackay yesterday.
Preliminary enquires indicate the 69-year-old woman was struck by a vehicle in Finch Hatton before 6pm.
The local woman suffered critical injuries and died at the scene, Police said in a statement.
