A man has been charged with murder, after a 74-year-old man’s body was found in the Illawarra on Sunday.
Officers attached to Lake Illawarra responded to Primrose Place, Farmborough Heights about 6pm on Sunday, to find the man, Vitomir ‘Vic’ Snjegota, deceased in the backyard of a home.
“A 48-year-old man was arrested at the scene and taken to Lake Illawarra Police Station,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“Strikeforce Oketo was established by officers attached to Lake Illawarra Police District with the assistance of State Crime Command’s Homicide Squad, to investigate the circumstances surrounding the man’s death.
At around 6pm yesterday, the man was charged with murder.
He was refused bail to appear in Wollongong Local Court today.
