A 67-year-old man has been airlifted to hospital following a serious crash at Yankalilla today.
Just after midday, police and emergency crews were called to the intersection of Inman Valley Road and Doctors Hill Road after a truck and Mazda sedan collided.
The driver of the Mazda, a 67-year-old man from Yankalilla has been airlifted to the Flinders Medical Centre in a critical condition. The truck driver, a 49-year-old man from Modbury Heights was not injured but has been taken to hospital to be assessed, Victoria Police said in a statement.
“A passenger in the Mazda, a 53-year-old man from Cape Jervis was treated at the scene for minor injuries while a passenger in the truck, a 31-year-old man from Evanston, was not injured,” Police said.
The intersection was closed for a period of time but has since reopened to all traffic.
