A 63-year-old man is one of four people charged with drug trafficking offences following the execution of a number of search warrants yesterday.
Officers from Melbourne Divisional Response Unit executed the warrants in Richmond, Collingwood and Footscray as part of an investigation into heroin trafficking in the local area.
“Police seized a quantity of drugs as well as clothing and cash which are alleged to be proceeds of crime,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
A 37-year-old Richmond man was charged with traffick heroin and possess heroin. He was remanded to face the Neighbourhood Justice Centre on March 31.
A 63-year-old Collingwood man was charged with two counts of traffick heroin, two counts of possess heroin and deal property suspected to be proceeds of crime. He was remanded in custody to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court today.
A 44-year-old Footscray man charged with three counts of traffick heroin and three counts of possess heroin. He was remanded to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on March 16.
A 41-year-old St Albans man was charged with traffick heroin and possess heroin as well as bail offences. He was remanded to appear before the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on March 16.
