A 64-year-old man has been charged following an investigation into multiple alleged sexual touching incidents spanning more than two decades.
NSW Police say that in March last year, a 66-year-old woman attended a business on Elizabeth Street in Liverpool, where she was allegedly inappropriately touched by a man.
“In October 2022, the same man allegedly followed the woman to her car at a shopping centre on Macquarie Street, Liverpool, where he touched her inappropriately,” NSW Police said in a statement.
Later the same month, Police say the 64-year-old man again allegedly followed the 66-year-old woman to her car and touched her inappropriately at the same shopping centre.
“On Thursday 29 December 2022, officers attached to Liverpool City Police Area Command were notified and commenced an investigation into the incidents.”
“Following an extensive investigation, police identified three further women who had allegedly been victims of similar offences since 2002 in Liverpool,” Police said.
Detectives yesterday attended a business on Elizabeth Street in Liverpool, where they arrested a 64-year-old man who was taken to Liverpool Police Station and charged with the following offences two counts of assault with act of indecency, three counts of common assault, three counts of sexually touch another person without consent and one count of stalk/intimidate intend fear physical harm.
The man was granted conditional bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court on June 14th.
