Gold Coast lifestyle development Stage 2 to be fast-tracked

Developers of an $18 million over-50s lifestyle resort in Pimpama on the Gold Coast say they will fast-track stage two of the project after the first stage sold out in less than a week.

All 26 homes released in stage one of the $200 million GemLife Gold Coast were reportedly snapped up off-the-plan within two days of the community’s official launch, with the developer expediting the second stage of 88 homes to meet the significant demand.

Civil construction is already underway on GemLife Gold Coast, which will span a 46-hectare elevated parcel in the city’s fast growing northern corridor, with spectacular views stretching from North Stradbroke to Burleigh.

The community will feature resort-style amenities, including a sprawling 7,000sqm three-level Country Club, topped with an infinity-edge pool, entertainment zone and bar.

Other amenities include a cinema, wine lounge, virtual golf, yoga studio, arts workshop, bowling alley, gym, off-leash dog run, hair salon, café, games room and lawn bowls – among many others.

GemLife Director and Chief Executive Officer, Adrian Puljich said the sales response to stage one had been “phenomenal”.

“To sell out our first release within a matter of days of launch is a great achievement and testament to the high level of demand for this style of living on the Gold Coast,” he said.

“The majority of buyers have been from the Gold Coast or Brisbane and are looking to enjoy their next phase of life, with less time spent maintaining their home and more time spent enjoying their lifestyle.

“Many are in the younger end of the over-50s demographic and the fact GemLife Gold Coast caters to such a diverse range of interests and provides so many opportunities for social interaction is appealing, as are the high quality of the homes and the location.

“We already have buyers lining up to secure their place in stage two and are confident it will also sell quickly.”

The new release is located a short walk from the Country Club, with eight home designs available, each featuring two bedrooms plus a multipurpose room and a spacious 192sqm to 211sqm of living space.

The homes feature an open-plan design that optimises indoor-outdoor living and designer kitchens, European appliances and a six-star energy rating. Prices start from $640,000.

“GemLife Gold Coast aims to match high quality with affordability for our over-50s,” said Mr Puljich.

“This new release is in a fantastic location within the community, close to the vibrant heart of the Country Club, tennis courts, a pickleball court, walking trails and an off-leash dog run.

“Our aim is to provide all our residents with opportunities close to their homes to enjoy fitness, wellness and relaxation, which are all highly valued by today’s active and healthy over-50s.”

Mr Puljich said GemLife was also finalising bespoke designs for a second release of homes in the stage one precinct, which would be developed on elevated split-level lots to capture views and breezes.

GemLife Gold Coast will ultimately comprise 365 homes, delivered in stages over more than three years.
