Four injured in Oberon crash

Four people have been injured, including a 69-year-old man, following a head-on crash in the NSW Central Tablelands overnight.

Police say that at about 6.40pm yesterday, emergency services were called to O’Connell Road, Oberon, approximately 2km south of Oberon Street, following reports of a crash between a Ford Falcon and a Toyota Hilux.

The Ford driver, a 60-year-old man, and female passenger, aged 42, were treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics before being airlifted to Westmead Hospital in a serious condition.

The Toyota driver, a 69-year-old man and male passenger, aged 19, were treated for non-life-threatening injuries before being conveyed to Orange Hospital

Officers attached to Chifley Police District attended and established a crime scene that has been examined by the Crash Investigation Unit to determine the circumstances surrounding the incident.
