Female motorcyclist killed in crash

A 61-year-old female motorcyclist has died in a two-vehicle crash in Nowergup yesterday.

Officers from the Major Crash Investigation Squad say the collision occurred around 5.30pm between a black Suzuki motorcycle travelling south on Wanneroo Road and a silver Holden Commodore utility travelling north on Wanneroo Road, just north of Nowergup Road.

“The rider of the motorcycle, a 61-year-old woman, suffered critical injuries as a result of the crash and died at the scene,” WA Police said in a statement.

The 20-year-old male driver of the Holden Commodore received minor injuries.
