A 55-year-old man has passed away this morning in the Rockhampton Base Hospital after he was critically injured in a serious traffic crash in St Lawrence earlier this month.
Police say their early investigations indicate the man’s truck left the Bruce Highway and crashed into a tree near Wumalgi Road around 7am on November 7.
“At the time the driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 55-year-old Rural View man, was flown to Rockhampton Base Hospital in a critical condition,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“The Forensic Crash Unit are investigating the crash and police will prepare a report for the Coroner. Anyone with information about the crash, or who has dashcam vision, is urged to contact police.”
