Clemton Park man, 60, facing drug supply charges

A 60-year-old man is one of two people facing court today on drug supply, weapon and assault charges following an investigation in Sydney’s south west.

Police say that at around 7pm yesterday, officers attached to Campsie Police Area Command’s Proactive Crime Team investigating the supply and distribution of prohibited drugs in the area, executed a search warrant at a home on Jarrett Street, Clemton Park.

“During the search investigators seized a small amount of prohibited drugs, including methylamphetamine, cocaine and cannabis, along with drug paraphernalia,” NSW Police said in a statement.

A machete and an electronic stun device were also seized.

Following inquiries, two men were arrested and taken to Campsie Police Station.

A 60-year-old man was charged with supply prohibited drug and possess or use a prohibited weapon without permit.

A 31-year-old man was charged with common assault for unrelated matters and an outstanding warrant for domestic violence-related incidents.

Both were refused bail to appear in Bankstown Local Court today.
