South Australian Police have announced charges against a man over a serious assault at Seaford Rise last month will be upgraded to murder following the death of the 57-year-old victim.
Police and paramedics were called to a home on Parkview Circuit, Seaford Rise about 7pm on Wednesday January 21st following reports a man had sustained serious injuries.
“A 57-year-old man was found at the property and taken to hospital with injuries consistent with being assaulted,” SA Police said.
“Southern District CIB detectives and crime scene investigators attended and examined the scene.”
Following investigations, later that night, detectives arrested a 45-year-old Seaford Rise man known to the victim and charged him with attempted murder.
“Sadly, the victim died of his injuries in hospital on Friday 30 January,” Police said today.
“Charges against the arrested man will now be upgraded to murder.”
