The ever-popular Robertson Brothers are returning to Griffith Regional Theatre with their all new “1960’s Variety TV show” – live on stage.
Geoff & Ben Robertson and special guests have been coming to Griffith for many years and remain as popular as ever. This year’s show, on Friday 10 May, will feature songs and stories from the giants of th 60’s music scene – the Monkees, the Beach Boys, Peter, Paul & Mary, Frankie Valli, The Everly Brothers and as a new addition to their show – music from Johnny Farnham.
Theatre Manager, Marg Andreazza said, “We are looking forward to welcoming the Robertson Brothers back again. Their show is such an entertaining night of music and laughter, and the Griffith audience just love it – it’s like welcoming back old friends.”
The performers use cameras on stage to film elements of the show which are then shown to the audience as if they were watching it on a 1960’s variety TV show. This adds another element of nostalgia to the show as people remember the glory days of the evening variety shows, with themselves becoming the live “studio audience”.
Ms Andreazza said “Our audience love the music of the 60’s and tickets are selling fast, so if you want to see one of the best shows of the year, get in soon or you’ll miss out! With an optional Dinner Package at Limone available before the show, patrons can make it a great night out with dinner and a show!”
