Queensland Police have charged a 30-year-old man with the stabbing murder of his father following an alleged domestic violence related incident at Marsden, Logan, this morning.
The Marsden man has been charged with murder (domestic violence offence).
He is due to face Beenleigh Magistrates Court today.
Investigators are continuing to appeal for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
Police say that at approximately 1am this morning, officers were called to a property along Redwood Street following reports a serious assault had occurred.
“Upon arrival, police arrested a 30-year-old Marsden man.”
“A short time later, a 67-year-old Marsden man was located deceased in the backyard,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“A 60-year-old Marsden woman was also located at the property and was not physically injured.”
A crime scene has been declared while officers work to determine the circumstances surrounding the altercation.
Police are appealing for anyone with information about the incident to come forward.
