Victoria Police caught a female driver allegedly travelling almost three times the speed limit in a school zone this morning.
In a statement, Police said officers were conducting speed checks outside a primary school on Brighton Road at about 9am when they clocked the driver travelling at 111km/h in the 40km/h zone.
Police intercepted the vehicle, and the driver from Elsternwick undertook a preliminary oral fluid test which allegedly came back positive for methylamphetamine.
The 49-year-old’s vehicle was immediately impounded at a cost of $896.10.
She is expected to be charged on summons with dangerous driving, driving under the influence, and driving with a suspended license.
