A 68-year-old Sydney woman has been allegedly caught drink driving twice in 24 hours – and she’s a disqualified driver to boot.
“About 11am on Thursday, officers attached to Nepean Highway Patrol stopped a Honda City sedan on Nepean Street, Leonay. Checks revealed the driver, a 68-year-old woman, was a disqualified driver,” NSW Police said in a statement.
“The woman was charged with driving whilst disqualified and was due to appear at Penrith Local Court in December.
“Later that day, about 6pm, police stopped the same car on Pamela Parade, Leonay. The woman was breath tested and allegedly provided a positive sample. She was arrested and taken to Springwood Police Station, where she underwent a breath analysis.”
Police say the woman returned an alleged reading of 0.123. She was charged with mid-range PCA and driving whilst disqualified and was bailed to appear at Penrith Local Court on December 17.
Then at 6pm on Friday, officers from Nepean Highway Patrol stopped the same woman driving the same car again on Pamela Parade, Leonay.
She allegedly failed to complete a roadside breath test and was arrested and taken to Penrith Police Station, where she underwent a breath analysis.
“She allegedly returned a reading of 0.148. She was charged with high-range PCA, drive whilst disqualified and breach of bail,” NSW Police said.
The woman was refused bail and will appear before Parramatta Local Court today.
