Victoria Police have charged a 67-year-old woman following a fatal collision with a pedestrian in Geelong West last year.
Detectives from the Major Collision Investigation Unit charged the woman with dangerous driving causing death, drive in a manner dangerous and careless driving.
The Grovedale woman was bailed to appear before Geelong Magistrates’ Court on July 16.
“The charges follow a collision on Clarence Street, near Shannon Avenue, about 1.05pm on 16 March, 2020,” Victoria Police said in a statement.
“Police will allege a 79-year-old woman was crossing the road when she was struck by a vehicle.”
The Geelong West woman was taken to hospital in a critical condition but sadly died a short time later.
