Woman, 61, killed in horror Adare crash

Police are investigating a horror crash in Adare yesterday that claimed the life of a 61-year-old woman and saw a 73-year-old woman and 10-year-old girl airlifted to hospital.

Police say that at around 1.15pm on Friday, a Toyota Rav 4 and a Honda CRV were travelling in opposite directions on the Warrego Highway in Adare, near Gatton, when they collided.

“A 61-year-old Kleinton woman, a rear passenger of the Honda CRV, was pronounced deceased at the scene,” Police said in a statement.

“The 21-year-old Honda CRV driver and the 68-year-old male front passenger were transported to Toowoomba Base Hospital for treatment.

“The Toyota Rav 4 driver, a 78-year-old Wilsonton man, was transported to Toowoomba Base Hospital for treatment.”

A 73-year-old female, the Rav 4 front seat passenger, was airlifted to Princess Alexadra Hospital. A 12-year-old girl back seat passenger was transported to Toowoomba Base Hospital and a 10-year-old girl back seat passenger was airlifted to Brisbane Childrens Hospital.
