Urgent call for help to find missing man

Police are appealing for urgent public assistance to help locate a missing 71-year-old Cranbourne man.

The man, named Alan, was last seen in at a hospital on Hastings Road in Frankston on yesterday about 7.15pm.

“Police and family have concerns for his welfare as he has dementia and was in hospital for treatment for a medical condition,” Victoria Police said in a statement.

“Alan doesn’t use public transport, doesn’t have a phone with him, so it’s believed he will most likely be walking around.”

Officers have been told he may head to Berwick, Clyde or Dandenong.

An image of Alan has been released in the hope someone may recognise him and provide information on his current whereabouts.

Alan was last seen wearing a green polo top and vest, blue jeans, red cap and black sandals.

Anyone who sights Alan is urged to call Triple Zero (000).
