Queensland Police believe a 17-year-old boy is behind two break-ins at the same chemist in Upper Coomera this week.
Police say that in the early hours of September 15 and 16, the glass front doors of a Brygon Drive chemist were allegedly smashed to gain entry and a quantity of prescription drugs were stolen.
They say a piece of wood was allegedly used on one occasion and a brick on second occasion to gain entry to the pharmacy.
Police investigations led them to execute a search warrant on an Upper Coomera house where the teenager was located.
The 17-year-old, from Upper Coomera, has been charged with two counts of enter premises and one count of possess utensil.
