Police are appealing for public assistance to help identify a serial petrol thief operating in Melbourne’s western suburbs.
Investigators believe the same woman has been involved in up to 24 petrol drive offs in Ardeer, Deer Park, Kealba, St Albans, Burnside, Ravenhall, Derrimut, Taylors Lakes, Melton, and Sunshine.
Police say that on each occasion the woman was driving a dark coloured older model Mitsubishi, possibly an Outlander, with false registration plates RYI757.
Investigators have released images of a woman who they believe can assist with their enquiries.
She is caucasian in appearance, aged between 25 and 35 years old, with a stocky build, and long blonde hair which at times has been died pink.
