A man’s body has been located during a search for a missing 74-year-old Glenwood man at Boondooma Dam in Proston today.
Queensland Police began a search for the man after an inflatable dinghy was located with its motor still running close to the dam’s shoreline at around 9.15am on June 26th.
“A search and rescue operation was launched, involving water police, SES, aerial assets, dam management and members of the public,” Police said in a statement.
“The body, believed to be that of the missing man was located in the water within the search area, around 12pm this afternoon.”
A report will be prepared for the coroner.
