The search and rescue for missing 61-year-old man, Ian Brumpton, has been temporarily suspended in consultation with his family.
Ian was last seen in Cambridge Street in Mitchell on July 17th, with a search and rescue operation commenced at 8am on July 19, Queensland Police said in a statement.
“Extensive search efforts in the Mitchell and Amby area involving police, SES, aerial assets, motorbike riders and local volunteers have failed to locate the man or any items of interest,” Police said.
“Investigations are continuing and the Queensland Remote Area Tracking group will deployed to assist.”
Police and family say they have serious concerns for his welfare as his disappearance is out of character and he has a medical condition.
Ian is described as Caucasian, approximately 187cm tall with greying hair and hazel eyes.
He was last seen wearing a navy-blue jumper and blue jeans.
Police are appealing to Ian, or anyone with information about his whereabouts to come forward.
