South Australian Police are investigating house fires at Hackham, Dernancourt and Enfield overnight.
Police that that at around 3.55am, emergency crews were called to Scenic Way at Hackham after reports a house was engulfed in flames.
“MFS crews were able to bring the fire under control however the house is believed to have been destroyed by fire. Nearby occupants were evacuated as a precaution,” SA Police said in a statement.
“The single occupant was taken to hospital, by Paramedics for treatment of minor injuries.”
Fire Cause Investigators are expected to attend the scene today and will undertake an assessment to determine the cause of the fire.Â
Investigators are also looking into a blaze at Dernancourt in the early hours of this morning.
Emergency services raced to Reids Road after flames were reported to be coming from the property just after 5.30am.
“When crews arrived, the house was engulfed in flames, with lots of smoke coming from the roof,” SA Police said.
“The occupant of the house was found on the front lawn. He was taken to hospital by ambulance and his condition is not believed to be life-threatening.
“Fire crews continue to battle the blaze. The fire has been prevented from spreading to neighbouring properties.”
In a third reported fire, emergency services were called to a structure fire in Halton Street, Enfield and arrived to find sheds at the rear of the property alight just after midnight.
“Three sheds were destroyed by fire.  A large shed next door also sustained heat and smoke damage. The fire was extinguished by fire crews. There were no reports of injuries,” SA Police said.
