Water Police, Polair and North Stradbroke Island Volunteer Marine Rescue personnel are currently co-ordinating a search off North Stradbroke Island after a life jacket and fuel tank were located off Main Beach today.
The red 25-litre fuel tank and the purple and black ‘Essential’ branded life jacket were located by a member of the public and handed in to police around midday.
