Queensland Police are appealing for public assistance after a 66-year-old roadworker was left with life-threatening injuries in a hit-and-run traffic crash in Cedar Vale, south east of Brisbane, overnight.
In a statement, Police said that just after midnight, a white Toyota Camry travelling on the Mount Lindesay Highway struck a roadworker near Cedar Grove Road.
“The driver of the Camry failed to remain at the scene and render assistance,” Queensland Police said.
“The roadworker, a 66-year-old man, was transported to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries.”
Investigators are appealing to the driver of the Camry to come forward.
Anyone who may have witnessed the incident or has any relevant dashcam footage is urged to contact police.
