Man charged over South Burnett cannabis crop

Queensland Police have charged a 53-year-old man with drug offences following the seizure of a hydroponic cannabis crop during a search of a South Burnett property last month.

Officers from Murgon Criminal Investigation Branch (CIB) executed a search warrant at a Durong property on November 21st, allegedly seizing 127 cannabis plants, items used in the production of dangerous drugs and drug utensils.

A Durong man has been charged with two counts each of possessing dangerous drugs and possess utensils or pipes and one count each of producing dangerous drugs, possessing anything for use in the commission of crime and publishing or possessing instructions for producing dangerous drugs.

He is due to appear in the Kingaroy Magistrates Court on January 14 next year.
