Pedestrian, 91, dies from crash injuries

A 91-year-old man has passed away in hospital after being struck by a car in Benalla last month.

Emergency services responded to the crash scene at Church Street in Benalla on March 25th following reports a Holden wagon had reversed and struck an elderly man at around 9.45am.

“The pedestrian, a 91-year-old Benalla man, was taken to hospital where he later died,” Victoria Police confirmed today.

“The driver, a 46-year-old Benalla woman, stopped at the scene and is assisting police with their enquiries.

“Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives will continue to investigate the incident.”
