WA’s Community Vision clients will feel the wind through their hair again thanks to the delivery of two new Triobike Taxis for the not-for-profit Joondalup-based assistance organisation.
Community Vision Chief Operating Officer, Yvonne Timson says Member for Joondalup, Emily Hamilton, has delivered an early present for the organisation with $40,000 in funding for the cycle taxis.
“Some of these simpler things in life we can take for granted. For our customers it will get
them up and out and into the fresh air. We are so grateful for all the support that Emily
provides us, this one being a brilliant early Christmas gift,” said Ms Timson.
The Triobike Taxis from Cargocyles are built for comfort, accessibility and safety, including
two 2-point seat belts. They will allow Community Vision support workers to easily take two customers at a time for bike rides around the suburbs.
Community Vision provide a range of services to people of all ages and abilities through
Home Care and Disability Care and says these bikes will provide an opportunity for customers that they may not have experienced in some time.

“For some of our customer the chance to ride a bike again is a wonderful experience, both for them and our Support Workers,” said Ms Timson.
She said being given the opportunity to go for a bike ride will be incorporated into the normal services Community Vision provide for customers.
“Community Vision is a fantastic organisation providing support and services to vulnerable members of our local community,” said the Member for Joondalup.
“I’m proud to have delivered funding that will allow people to enjoy a biking experience
out in the fresh air, with the added benefit of social interaction.
“Thanks to Community Vision Support Workers who make this a wonderful experience for
customers.”
