Two new providers will deliver aged care services currently provided by Greater Shepparton City Council from next month, the Council announced in a statement today.

The two aged care service providers have been appointed by the Australian Government.

Community Accessibility will provide delivered meals from July 18th; while Calvary Community Care will provide the home modifications, access and support at home, and social connection programs from July 1st..

Current services will be delivered by Greater Shepparton City Council until the two new providers take over, Council said.

Council says it is working closely with Community Accessibility and Calvary Community Care to help ensure the services transition to new arrangements smoothly, and is working with clients and stakeholders throughout the transition.

Greater Shepparton City Council Director Community, Louise Mitchell said aged care services would continue without interruption while the changeover occurs.

“Council is working closely with clients and stakeholders to help make sure the transition to new service arrangements proceeds smoothly’ she said.

“Council has dedicated staff in place to work with every client currently receiving our services, so that they have all the information and support they need in the coming months”.

She said all clients of the services had been contacted regarding the upcoming changes.
