Police are investigating a number of break and enter incidents at two chemists and a convenience store on the Gold Coast overnight.
Police say that at around 12.20am, a glass panel of a West Burleigh Road chemist was smashed and attempts to enter the chemist were made.
“Entry was not gained and no items were stolen,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“Around 12.45am a chemist at Slayter Avenue at Bundall had its front glass doors smashed and a quantity of medication stolen.
“Around 1am a convenience store at Benowa Road at Benowa had a vehicle reversed into the glass doors to gain entry. Once inside cigarettes and other items were loaded into the rear of the vehicle before it was driven off in a northerly direction.”
Police say they are investigating whether these incidents are linked.
