Motorcyclist airlifted to hospital after collision with kangaroo

The Westpac Rescue Helicopter has airlifted a motorcyclist in his 60s to Lismore Hospital this morning after a collision with a kangaroo at Mount Spirabo.

At around 9.30am, the rescue helicopter crew was tasked by NSW Ambulance to attend the motorcycle accident south of Tenterfield.

“A man in his 60s, who had collided with a kangaroo, was treated by NSW Ambulance paramedics and the helicopter’s critical care medical team for chest injuries before being transported to Lismore Hospital,” the Westpac Rescue Helicopter Service said in a statement.
