Queensland Police are investigating the cause of a fatal house fire that claimed the lives of a woman and man, believed to be mother and son, at Woodridge on Sunday.
Emergency crews were called to the address on Cypress Street just after 6pm, where they discovered the house engulfed in flames.
“Despite efforts of all crews, two people who were inside the house at the time, a woman in her 80s and a man in his 60s, died at the scene,” Police said in a statement.
Police are appealing to anyone with information that could assist their investigations, to come forward.
