The body of a man reported missing from Sydney’s Inner West has been located.
The 36-year-old man was reported missing to officers from Inner West Police Area Command on February 26.
“Following inquiries, police determined that the Camperdown man was last seen at Loftus Railway Station with his bike about 12.25pm on Tuesday 23 February 2021,” NSW Police said in a statement.
A number of large-scale searches were conducted in the Royal National Park in the past three weeks.
“About 11.40am yesterday, the body of a man was located in dense bushland in the Royal National Park by the NSW Police Force Dog Unit,” police said.
“While the body is yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be that of the missing 36-year-old man.
“The death is not being treated as suspicious and a report will be prepared for the Coroner.
“Police would to thank the public and media for their assistance.”
