Queensland Police are seeking assistance to identify a masked man who attempted to rob a bank while armed with a syringe at North Lakes last week.
Police say that just after 10am last Wednesday, the man entered the bank wearing a COVID-19-style protective mask and approached a teller, threatening her with a syringe.
He fled the bank towards Anzac Avenue shortly after an alarm was activated.
The man was wearing a dark blue button-up shirt, long trousers, a cream bucket cap with a blue surgical mask.
Anyone with information that could identify the man is urged to contact police, particularly those who may have dashcam or CCTV footage around Anzac Avenue, Bruce Highway and Winzear Drive between 10am and 11am.
